OpenDeploy OpenClaw Plugin
OpenClaw plugin for OpenDeploy — agent-first deployment, packaged for ClawHub.
What's OpenDeploy?
OpenDeploy is the agent-first deployment platform — help your agent deploy, host, and scale your app.
One command from any AI coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, …) takes a project from local source → live URL with no account required for the first deploy. We support every framework and language: Next.js, Vite, Astro, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Remix, Express, Fastify, Hono, Django, Flask, FastAPI, Rails, Phoenix, Laravel, Spring, .NET, Go, Rust, Bun, Deno, static sites — anything with a build + run.
What the skill does, end-to-end:
- Detects the framework locally (no source upload yet, no telemetry)
- Provisions any database the app needs — postgres / mysql / mongo / redis
- Builds and deploys to
*.opendeploy.run - Returns a live URL plus a one-time claim URL the user can sign in to later (via SSO) to adopt the project under their account
The split is intentional: agents deploy, humans observe. The agent registers an anonymous token and does the work. The human holds the safety escape hatches (delete, revoke token, set budget cap), and watches the deploy in the dashboard.
Install From ClawHub
After the package is published:
openclaw plugins install clawhub:opendeploydev
openclaw gateway restart
Install From A Local Checkout
git clone --single-branch --depth 1 https://github.com/opendeploy-dev/opendeploy-openclaw-plugin.git
cd opendeploy-openclaw-plugin
openclaw plugins install .
openclaw gateway restart
Runtime Dependency
The skills use the public OpenDeploy CLI package, @opendeploydev/cli, and may
ask the agent to install or update it globally before deployment work. The
plugin itself does not bundle the CLI binary or run an install script at plugin
install time.
Usage
Ask OpenClaw in natural language, for example:
Deploy this project with OpenDeploy.
OpenClaw loads the skills declared in openclaw.plugin.json. The canonical
entrypoint is opendeploy; deploy is a short alias.
This OpenClaw package does not ship approval hooks or hidden command
auto-approval behavior. The index.js extension is intentionally minimal; the
deployment behavior lives in the declared skills.
ClawHub Package Shape
This repository follows ClawHub's package conventions:
package.jsoncarries the package name/version plusopenclaw.compat.pluginApiandopenclaw.build.openclawVersion.openclaw.plugin.jsonis the native OpenClaw plugin manifest and declares every skill root underskills/.index.jsis a minimal OpenClaw extension entrypoint; it does not register approval hooks.- Each
SKILL.mduses single-line OpenClaw frontmatter withuser-invocable: trueandmetadata.openclawdependency hints. .clawhubignorekeeps local secrets, archives, and git metadata out of package uploads.
Validate
npm run validate
npm run pack:dry-run
npm run validate checks the OpenClaw manifest, package metadata, declared skill
roots, single-line skill frontmatter, and ClawHub dependency metadata.
Publish
The ClawHub Package GitHub workflow runs a dry-run on pull requests and
publishes from a tag or manual workflow dispatch when CLAWHUB_TOKEN is set in
repository secrets.
For local publish testing with a current ClawHub CLI:
clawhub package publish . --family bundle-plugin --owner opendeploy --dry-run
