OBS Controller — OpenClaw Plugin

Control OBS Studio directly from OpenClaw chat. Switch scenes, start/stop streaming/recording, manage audio, toggle sources, save replays, trigger hotkeys — all through natural language.

Requirements

OpenClaw gateway
OBS Studio 28+ with obs-websocket enabled (Settings → WebSocket Server)

Install

clawhub install obs-controller

Then enable it in your OpenClaw config (openclaw.json):

If your agent's tool policy restricts tools, whitelist the obs_* tools in alsoAllow.

obs_get_stream_status — Current stream state, bitrate, duration
obs_start_recording / obs_stop_recording — Start/stop recording
obs_get_recording_status — Current recording state
obs_save_replay — Save replay buffer (instant highlight)
obs_start_virtualcam / obs_stop_virtualcam — Virtual camera output

obs_toggle_mute — Mute/unmute audio inputs
obs_set_volume — Set input volume (0.0–1.0)
